Brahmatal Trek

From Lohajung, a small town in the Chamoli district of Uttrakhand, a hike leads to Brahmatal, the Lake of Lord Brahma.

Hindu mythology states that Lord Brahma meditated next to this lake, therefore the lake's name, Brahmatal. The 12000-foot-high Brahmatal hike passes through cedar, conifer, oak, and fir forests as well as lovely valleys. This walk is made much more gorgeous and difficult by the snowfall and chilly wind.

Brahmatal Trek allows trekkers to simultaneously experience two Himalayan treks by giving them a bird's eye view of the enigmatic Roopkund Trek and the lush meadows of Ali & Bedni Bugyal. The Brahmatal walk is one of the best winter treks in Uttrakhand because of the scenery changes that come with ascending, as well as the view of the sparkling Garhwal peaks like Mt. Nandaghuti, Mt. Neelkanth, and Mt. Chaukhambha.

The Brahmatal walk is among the greatest treks for beginners searching for first-hand trekking experience in the Uttrakhand Himalayas due to the lack of step ascent and significant heights.
