Kedarkantha Trek January 2021 The Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi is home to the Kedarkantha summit. It is open all year, with the exception of July and August. Kedarkantha peak rises to a height of 3810 metres (12,500 ft) above sea level. Kedarkantha's top offers a 360-degree view of various peaks. From the Yamunotri and Gangotri mountains, you can see Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch I & II, Black Peak, and Ranglana. The journey to the peak of Kedarkantha begins in Sankri village. After a 7-8-hour drive from Dehradun, you'll arrive in Sankri, a small but growing community. Sankri serves as the beginning point for a number of climbs (Read Blog on : Treks from Sankri). The Kedarkantha trek takes four days in total, however it can be completed in three days by fit hikers. The trail to the summit is around 10 kilometres long, but it is steep the entire way.
