The Chadar walk, which takes place in the beautiful Ladakh region, is undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. A layer of ice builds on the river Zanskar when the temperature decreases in the winter. This ice sheet acts as a roadway connecting Leh and the Zaskar Valley, and Zanskari people have travelled on it for centuries.
