Triund Snow Line

Triund Snow Line

The Laka Glacier trip is 7-9 kilometres long and takes several paths from Bhagsunath. Triund and Laka Glacier treks are best done via Galu devi or Dharamkot. To go to Laka glacier, you must hike 9 kilometres from Bhagusu to Triund hill, which is about 2 kilometres uphill. The entire walk offers spectacular views of Dhauladhar's snow-capped peaks and the Kangra valley.

Triund Trek . Report to our base camp in Dharamkot and begin the trip after freshening up. It's a lovely trek through deodar, oak, and rhododendron mixed woodlands. Triund is perched on a ridge with a panoramic view of the Kangra Valley on one side and the Dhauladhar Mountains on the other. The first 2 kilometres are a difficult incline, but after Galu Devi shrine, the elevation becomes more moderate. The final 1 km is a hard climb through the woods. Triund is a ridgetop meadow with a flat grassland. A panoramic vista of the Dhauladhar mountain on one side and Kangra valley on the other is a spectacular sight from here. Tents will be used for the night.

Traverse a ridge to reach Laka Got, a temporary shephard camp, after a short rise from Triund. Laka Got is located at the snout of a tiny glacier that is covered in snow and ice in the early summer and melts away throughout the monsoon season. As a result, we'll have some snow activities. At Laka Got, spend the night at the camp.
