At Joshimath, we'll be greeted by a series of ice peaks that will be far more appealing this morning than they were at base camp in the dusk. After an early breakfast, we will travel to Dhak hamlet in the Joshimath tehsil, a 45-minute tough ride. We'll start our journey from here. On this drive, keep an eye out for Joshimath's Sleeping Lady Mountain's gentle slopes. This mountain's gentle ups and downs resemble the shape of a lying lady.

The trail begins at Dhak and gradually ascends. The Tugasi settlement is reached through a dirt track that departs the main road and rises to the top. This route begins on level ground and progressively ascends mild slopes after a pair of sharp T-turns. Here, the landscape is largely rugged.
