Triund is reached via a day hike through a mixed woods of oak, cedar, and rhododendrons.
Triund Trek – The enormous stretch of lush green grass and pasture-like topography that is Triund. The beautiful Dhauladhar hills may be seen just above the eyes. This is the base camp and acclimatisation station for trekkers hiking the Inderahara in the Dhauladhar. As we get closer to the summit, all of your exhaustion will go as you take in the magnificent Dhauladhar, which will leave you speechless.
Shepherds have used the trail to Triund for many years to cross the Indrahara Pass (4300 m) and reach another picturesque valley known as Chamba valley.
Apart from that, there is an old temple dedicated to Goddess Durga in Triund called Kunalpathari, which local shepherds from Dharamshala visit on pilgrimage.
From Triund, we can see a variety of magnificent peaks, including Mun Peak (4600 m) and Matter Horn (Gauri junda 4800 mt, which is also known as Matter Horn due to its exact similarity).
During the rainy season, which lasts from mid-June to mid-September, triund is not suggested.
It is closed during the winter months when there is snowfall, which runs from December to mid-February, and the rest is dependent on the current weather conditions, although winter can sometimes linger longer.
