Solo Trip to Triund

 Solo Trip to Triund

The trek to Triund begins in Mcleod Ganj and lasts around 8-9 kilometres one way. You can also take a shared cab/taxi/auto to Gallu Devi temple (1st check-point of trek), but due to the poor road conditions, they would charge you more. You can save 1–2 hours by taking a cab/auto to Gallu Devi temple and then starting the trek.

Triund Trek . The greatest time to undertake trekking is from March to December, excluding the wet months of June and July. Because of the heavy snowfall in January and February, these months should be avoided.

Summers are nice, with clear skies and an average temperature of 25-30 degrees during the day, but nights are chilly, with an average temperature of 8-10 degrees, so dress warmly for the walk. It's a good idea to dress for cool evenings and the possibility of rain during the summer.

However, because winters may be unpredictable, it's a good idea to check the weather forecast before setting off, as there's a potential the road will be shut down in the middle due to heavy snowfall.

Triund is the highest point of the tour, at an elevation of 2800 metres.

Because the temperature decreases at night but remains lovely and warm during the day, trekkers should bring a lightweight bag with only a few warmers.

Bring some food and a water bottle because the last 2-3 kilometres of Triund will pass by two cafes.
