Visitors to the little community can participate in activities like monastery tours, waterfall viewing, and adventure sports including rock climbing, rappelling, and hiking. Yuksom's serene beauty is a seductively simple task that passes the time in a pleasant haze.

It is one of the most well-known shrines in West Sikkim and a must-see for everyone visiting the region. This monastery is part of the Tibetan Buddhist Nyingma sect and is in charge of all other Nyingma monasteries in Tibet. The architecture of the monastery is elegant and appealing to the eye.
